Regular Season Round 30: Shizuoka - Okayama 81-107

The game between 9th ranked Shizuoka (11-17) and seventh ranked Okayama (15-14) in Shizuoka on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Okayama outscored Shizuoka 107-81. American forward Terrance King (198-90, college: E.Stroudsburg) notched a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: FAU) supported him with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Even 21 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Roschon Prince (198-94, college: Detroit Mercy) did not help to save the game for Shizuoka. Forward Abu Philip (198-97) added 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Okayama moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Saitama B. Shizuoka lost third consecutive game. Shizuoka at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with 17 games lost. Okayama will meet at home Tokyo CR (#10) in the next round. Shizuoka will play against Gifu Swoops and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
