Regular Season Round 30: Yokohama BC - Kawasaki BT 86-84

A very close game took place in Yokohama between Yokohama BC and Toshiba Thunders. Fifth ranked Yokohama BC (8-21) got a very close home victory over top-ranked Toshiba Thunders (25-5). Yokohama BC managed to escape with a 2-point win 86-84 on Wednesday evening. The best player for the winners was Turkish center Reginald Becton (206-91) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward James Southerland (203-90, college: Syracuse) chipped in 25 points. At the other side the best for losing team was international power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who recorded 28 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and American power forward Jordan Heath (208-91, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Five Yokohama BC and four Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Yokohama BC maintains fifth position with 8-21 record. Loser Toshiba Thunders still keep top place with five games lost. Yokohama BC will meet league's second-placed Ryukyu GK in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Toshiba Thunders will play against Kyoto H. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
