Everything went according to plan in Mirandola where fourth ranked Pompea MNV (12-7) outscored 12th ranked Roseto Sharks (6-12) 77-56 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Roseto Sharks 43-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for guard Tommaso Raspino (200-89, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard Rotnei Clarke (183-89, college: Butler) helped adding 17 points and 4 assists. At the losing side naturalized Dominican guard Yancarlos Jefferson Rodriguez (195-94) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Cameroonian power forward Philippe Bayehe (204-99) scored 11 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Pompea MNV moved-up to third place in A2. Loser Roseto Sharks keep the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Pompea MNV will face league's second-placed Unieuro Forli on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Roseto Sharks will play against Poderosa MNT (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
