The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Slovanka MB's (2-11) road loss to eighth ranked Loko Trutnov (4-10) 74-90 on Wednesday. Loko Trutnov forced 21 Slovanka MB turnovers. Strangely Slovanka MB outrebounded Loko Trutnov 45-31 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Bailee Cotton (185-96, college: Wyoming) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Aneta Finkova (162-2) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Loko Trutnov's coach Michal Martisek used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Sherise Williams (191-93, college: Mississippi St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Andrea Ondrouskova (175-1) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Loko Trutnov moved-up to seventh place. Slovanka MB lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Loko Trutnov are looking forward to face league's leader USK Praha at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Slovanka MB will play against Slavia (#4) in Praha and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
