Very expected game when 5th ranked Knicks (12-34) lost to first ranked Raptors (31-14) in New York City 112-118 on Friday. Raptors made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Strangely Knicks outrebounded Raptors 46-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for point guard Kyle Lowry (183-86, college: Villanova) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 6 rebounds. Cameroonian forward Pascal Siakam (206-94, college: N.Mexico St.) contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Marcus Morris (206-89, college: Kansas) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and forward Julius Randle (206-94, college: Kentucky) added 20 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Knicks. Four Raptors and five Knicks players scored in double figures. Knicks' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Raptors. Defending champion maintains first place with 31-14 record, which they share with Miami Heat. Loser Knicks keep the fifth position with 34 games lost.
