Regular Season Round 21: Angers - Lourdes 86-82

Leader Etoile Angers delivered the sixteenth victory on Friday night. This time they beat 11th ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (7-14) 86-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Lourdes-Tarbes. Etoile Angers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Kyle Tresnak (209-92, college: Weber St.) who scored 28 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Stephan Gauthier (192-95) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Maxence Claveau (195-94) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Kilian Incredule (175-96) added 19 points respectively. Four Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures. Etoile Angers maintains first place in Group A with 16-4 record. Loser Lourdes-Tarbes keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Etoile Angers will face La Rochelle (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against JSA Bordeaux and hope to win that game.
