Regular Season Round 16: Koroivos - Anatolia 67-68

A very close game took place in Koroivos (derby !!!) between Anatolia and Koroivos. Eleventh ranked Anatolia (6-10) got a very close victory on the road over 9th ranked Koroivos (6-10). Anatolia managed to escape with a 1-point win 68-67 in the fight for the ninth place. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Dimitris Geromichalos (185-94, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 4 assists and power forward Giorgos Brozos (198-86, college: Furman) who added 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Alexandros Sigounas (200-88, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Giannis Athanasoulas (202-87) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Four Koroivos players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Anatolia moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Koroivos. Koroivos lost third consecutive game. Anatolia will meet at home Pagrati (#14) in the next round where they are favorite. Koroivos will play against Amyntas D. (#16) in Athens and hope to secure a win.
