Regular Season Round 31: Ryukyu GK - Yokohama BC 76-70

Rather expected game in Okinawa where 5th ranked Yokohama BC (8-22) was defeated by second ranked Ryukyu GK (20-10) 76-70 on Saturday. American forward DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) fired 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. Turkish center Reginald Becton (206-91) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and American center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ryukyu GK maintains second place with 20-10 record having eight points less than leader Osaka E. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the fifth position with 22 games lost. Ryukyu GK will face again Yokohama BC (#5) at home in the next round.
