The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets (12-5) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by third ranked SSV Lok Bernau (10-7) 68-67. American forward Dan Oppland (203-84, college: Valpo) saved the victory by scoring 12 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Evans Rapieque (193-2) contributed with 13 points for the winners. SSV Lok Bernau's coach Rene Schilling used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. SSV Lok Bernau is looking forward to face SC Rist Wedel (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
