Very important is a home loss of third ranked Pistons (17-29) against fourth ranked Nets (19-25) on Saturday night. Host Pistons were defeated by Nets in Detroit 121-111. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Australian-American guard Kyrie Irving (190-92, college: Duke) scored 45 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jarrett Allen (211-98, college: Texas) chipped in 20 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. At the losing side center Andre Drummond (208-93, college: UConn) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 21 rebounds and guard Derrick Rose (190-88, college: Memphis) scored 27 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pistons' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nets maintains fourth position with 19-25 record which they share with defeated Pistons. Loser Pistons dropped to the fourth place with 29 games lost. Nets will meet Knicks (#5) in the next day. Pistons will have a break next day.
