Regular Season Round 17: Kormend - Atomeromu 93-84

An interesting game for Kormend (14-3) which hosted in Kormend 3rd placed Atomeromu (12-5). Second ranked Kormend managed to get a 9-point victory 93-84. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Atomeromu. Kormend forced 19 Atomeromu turnovers. Strangely Atomeromu outrebounded Kormend 46-30 including a 21-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Atomeromu's players. American players dominated the game. Forward Jordon Varnado (198-97, college: Troy) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!). Forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Kormend players scored in double figures. Kormend's coach Matthias Zollner used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Shannon Evans-II (185-94, college: ASU) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Orlando Coleman (196-92, college: Texas Southern) added 24 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Atomeromu. Kormend have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-3 record having just two points less than leader Falco-Vulcano. Atomeromu at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Kormend are looking forward to face PVSK-Veolia (#6) in Pecs in the next round. Atomeromu will play at home against DEAC and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
