Regular Season Round 32: Ryukyu GK - Yokohama BC 71-69

Fifth-ranked Yokohama BC (8-23) was very close to win a game against second ranked Ryukyu GK (21-10) in Okinawa. Ryukyu GK managed to secure only two-point victory 71-69. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and the former international guard Narito Namizato (172-89) who added 11 points and 5 assists during the contest. American forward James Southerland (203-90, college: Syracuse) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and the former international point guard Shusuke Ikuhara (180-94) scored 7 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ryukyu GK used an opportunity after Osaka E. lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Yokohama BC at the other side keeps the fifth place with 23 games lost. Ryukyu GK will play against league's leader Osaka E. on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yokohama BC will play against Toyama G. (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
