Regular Season Round 32: Tochigi B. - Osaka E. 85-73

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Osaka E. (21-10) on the court of second ranked Tochigi B. on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Tochigi B. 85-73. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Osaka E.. Tochigi B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Naturalized American forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Tochigi B.'s coach Ryuzo Anzai used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and the former international Takuya Hashimoto (186-94) added 18 points in the effort for Osaka E.Five Osaka E. players scored in double figures. Tochigi B. maintains second position with 24-8 record having just two points less than leader Osaka E. Osaka E. at the other side still keeps top place with ten games lost. They share the position with Ryukyu GK. Tochigi B. are looking forward to face league's leader Toyota Alvark in Tokyo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Osaka E. will play at home against the league's second-placed Ryukyu GK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
