Regular Season Round 19: CDU Concepcion - AB Ancud 96-84

There was no surprise when 6th ranked AB Ancud (11-12) lost on the road to second ranked Universidad de Concepcion (14-13) 96-84 on Sunday. Universidad de Concepcion outrebounded AB Ancud 38-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Brandon Moss (208, college: LSUA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import center Steven Toyloy (203-87, college: Cincinnati) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Universidad de Concepcion players scored in double figures. Argentinian Lisandro Rasio (198-90) answered with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Travion Leonard (205-93, college: Barry) added 23 points in the effort for AB Ancud. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Universidad de Concepcion. They maintain second place with 14-13 record having two points less than leader Puente Alto. Loser AB Ancud keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Universidad de Concepcion will face league's leader Puente Alto on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AB Ancud will play against Deportivo Valdivia (#3) and hope to win that game.
