Regular Season Round 32: Alvark T. - Toyama G. 77-64

An interesting game for Toyota Alvark (25-7) which hosted in Tokyo 3rd ranked Toyama G. (12-20). First ranked Toyota Alvark managed to get a 13-point victory 77-64. Toyota Alvark players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: WVU) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Swingman Zack Baranski (193-92) chipped in 16 points. American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: Appalachian St.) produced 7 points and 16 rebounds and his fellow American import Josh Peppers (201-85, college: UCF) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Toyama G.'s coach Don Beck rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Toyota Alvark have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 25-7 record. Toyama G. at the other side keeps the third place with 20 games lost. Toyota Alvark's next round opponent will be league's leader Toshiba Thunders in Kanagawa and it will be for sure the game of the week. Toyama G. will play at home against Yokohama BC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
