Regular Season Round 16: Sokol Pisek - Orli Prostejov 108-80

U19 League top team - Sokol Pisek (14-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Orli (8-8) 108-80. Sokol Pisek dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Orli's 36. They outrebounded Orli 45-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Sokol Pisek players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists. The winners were led by center Martin Svoboda (202-1) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and guard Vojtech Sykora (190-1) supported him with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Sokol Pisek's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by forward Ondrej Ulicny (203) did not help to save the game for Orli. Guard Jiri Svojanovsky (174) added 11 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Four Sokol Pisek and five Orli players scored in double figures. Sokol Pisek have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-1 record. Orli at the other side keeps the eighth place with eight games lost. Sokol Pisek will play against Sokol Prazsky (#9) in Praha in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Orli will play at home against Kolin and hopes to get back on the winning track.
