Regular Season Round 32: Okayama - Tokyo CR 88-87

Tenth-ranked Tokyo CR (10-23) made lots of trouble for seventh ranked Okayama (16-15). Okayama managed to secure only one-point victory 88-87. However their fans expected easier game. Okayama forced 22 Tokyo CR turnovers. The game was also dominated by American players. The winners were led by forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: FAU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall, agency: HMS) supported him with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Okayama's coach Yoichi Motoyasu allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists by center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) did not help to save the game for Tokyo CR. Swingman Michael Craig (196-91, college: S.Mississippi) added 15 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Okayama moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Saitama B. Tokyo CR at the other side keeps the tenth position with 23 games lost. Okayama's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Kanazawa (#12) in Ishikawa where they are favorite. Tokyo CR will play at home against Gifu Swoops and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
