Regular Season Round 12: Dnipro - Zaporizhye 92-64

Date: January 26, 2020
Very predictable result when first ranked Dnipro (14-5) rolled over at home 7th ranked Zaporizhye (7-13) 92-64 on Sunday. The game without a history. Dnipro led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 30-of-36 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. Zaporizhye was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American guard Jared Terrell (190-95, college: URI) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 7 rebounds. The former international power forward Maxym Korniyenko (206-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward Maksim Sandul (207-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Lewis Stallworth (185-96, college: Citadel) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Zaporizhye. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dnipro have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-5 record. Loser Zaporizhye keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost. Dnipro will face Mykolaiv (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zaporizhye will play against Odessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
