Leader Panathinaikos delivered the fifteenth victory. This time they crushed 14th ranked PAOK (5-12) 117-79 in Athens. The game without a history. Panathinaikos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 21 long-distance shots on high 63.6 percentage. Panathinaikos players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by PAOK's players. American-Montenegrin point guard Tyrese Rice (185-87, college: Boston Coll.) nailed 15 points and 7 assists for the winning side and Canadian-American Andrew Rautins (193-86, college: Syracuse) accounted for 21 points. Four Panathinaikos players scored in double figures. American point guard Adam Smith (185-92, college: Georgia Tech) came up with 25 points and the other American import guard Shannon Shorter (193-89, college: N.Texas) added 15 points and 7 assists respectively for PAOK in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Panathinaikos. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-2 record. PAOK at the other side stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Panathinaikos' next round opponent will be again bottom-ranked PAOK (#14) in Thessaloniki which should be another easy win for them. PAOK will play at home against Kolossos HH and hope to win that game.
