Regular Season Round 33: Tochigi B. - Alvark T. 74-64

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Tochigi B. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Tochigi B. defeated their close opponent Toyota Alvark at home 74-64. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Naturalized American forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Tochigi B.'s coach Ryuzo Anzai used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and international guard Seiya Ando (184-92) scored 12 points and 4 assists. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending champion Toyota Alvark keeps the second place with nine games lost. Toyota Alvark will play next round against league's leader Toshiba Thunders trying to get back on the winning streak. Tochigi B. will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked San-en NeoPhoenix in Hamamatsu.
