No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Juvi Cremona (9-11) won against at home 15th ranked Varese Robur (4-16) 76-64 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Varese Robur 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Marco Bona (189-89, agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 6 rebounds. Sadikh Ndiaye-Ababacar (195-90, agency: Agency) helped adding 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the losing side point guard Riccardo Ballabio (181-98) responded with 21 points (made all of his eight free throws) and the former international forward Marco Allegretti (204-81) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Juvi Cremona moved-up to ninth place in B, which they share with Mestre. Varese Robur lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Juvi Cremona will face higher ranked Monfalcone (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Varese Robur will play against LTC Sangiorg. (#8) and hope to win that game.
