Everything went according to plan when third ranked Chiba J. (24-10) beat on the road 6th ranked Shimane Magic (10-24) 90-79 on Friday. Chiba J. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and American forward Nick Mayo (206-97, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import center Brian Qvale (208-88, college: Montana) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Shimane Magic's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chiba J. have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain third place with 24-10 record having just three points less than leader Tochigi B. Shimane Magic lost sixth consecutive game.
