Day 100 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Mavericks (29-19). They were defeated by second ranked Rockets (30-18) 128-121 on Friday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Rockets made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Mavericks outrebounded Rockets 52-37 including 38 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of James Harden (196-89, college: ASU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 16 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and point guard Russell Westbrook (190-88, college: UCLA) who added 32 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists during the contest. At the losing side Latvian power forward Kristaps Porzingis (221-95) responded with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and Puerto Rican point guard Jose-Juan Barea (183-84, college: Northeastern) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Mavericks' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Rockets keep a position of league leader. Mavericks at the other side dropped to the second place with 19 games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Toronto R.. Mavericks will play next day against Hawks trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Rockets will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
