Leading Salt Lake City Stars (21-8) recorded its eighth loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked OKC Blue (13-17) 113-102. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Salt Lake City Stars. OKC Blue players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Salt Lake City Stars were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Trinidad and Tobago-American Devaughn Akoon-Purcell (196-93, college: Illinois St.) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Myke Henry (198-92, college: DePaul) supported him with 23 points. Even 19 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists by guard Nigel Williams-Goss (191-94, college: Gonzaga, agency: Wasserman) did not help to save the game for Salt Lake City Stars. Guard Trevon Bluiett (198-94, college: Xavier) added 17 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Five OKC Blue and four Salt Lake City Stars players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. OKC Blue moved-up to third place, which they share with Iowa W. Salt Lake City Stars at the other side still keep top position with eight games lost. OKC Blue will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Salt Lake City Stars will play again at home against OKC Blue and hope to get back on the winning track.
