Regular Season Round 34: Shimane SM - Chiba J. 64-79

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Shimane Magic (10-25) was defeated at home by third ranked Chiba J. (25-10) 79-64 on Saturday. Chiba J. outrebounded Shimane Magic 43-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Chiba J. players scored in double figures. Chiba J.'s coach Atsushi Ono used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import DaJuan Summers (203-88, college: Georgetown) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Chiba J. have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 25-10 record having just two points less than leader Tochigi B. Shimane Magic lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 25 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
