Regular Season Round 20: Los Leones - Puerto Montt 83-94

Not a big story in a game in Quilpue where 4th ranked Los Leones (12-17) were defeated by second ranked Puerto Montt (15-13) 94-83 on Saturday. Puerto Montt made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Los Leones were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American Durrell Summers (196-89, college: Michigan St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import center Gene Teague (206-89, college: Seton Hall) who added 20 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. American forward Reggie Larry (198-86, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Sports) responded with 28 points and 7 rebounds and Italian-Argentinian center Omar Canton (206-82) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Puerto Montt have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Despite that victory Puerto Montt went down to third position due to points difference. Loser Los Leones dropped to the fifth place with 17 games lost. Puerto Montt will face Quilicura (#6) at home in the next round. Los Leones will play against AB Ancud and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
