Regular Season Round 18: La Fecha - Nissan Burgos 91-86

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Arroyo Encomienda where 6th ranked Nissan Burgos (10-7) was defeated by seventh ranked La Fecha (10-7) 91-86 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was guard Jorge Martinez (185-96) who scored 30 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Guard Alejandro Fisac (183-96) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. Four La Fecha players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Alberto Alonso (200-1) who recorded 20 points and 9 rebounds and Dutch center Oliver Bieshaar (202-1) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. La Fecha have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place in Group A-A, which they share with defeated Nissan Burgos. Nissan Burgos lost third consecutive game. La Fecha will face Baskonia (#8) on the road in the next round.
