Regular Season Round 34: Sea Horses M. - Shiga L-Stars 82-57

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kariya. Second ranked Aishin Sea Horses faced one of their biggest challengers Shiga L-Stars. Host Aishin Sea Horses (16-18) smashed guests from Shiga (16-18) 82-57. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Shiga L-Stars. Aishin Sea Horses looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Chris Johnson (210-85, college: LSU) chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds. Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: ASU) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Sea Horses maintains second position with 16-18 record having twelve points less than leader Tochigi B., which they share with defeated Shiga L-Stars. Aishin Sea Horses will face again Shiga L-Stars (#4) at home in the next round.
