The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Voluntari (1-1) on the court of Pitesti on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Pitesti in overtime 97-89. The hosts trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 31-20 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (187-87) produced 28 points, 5 assists and 5 steals (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!) and Serbian power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Pitesti is looking forward to face Focsani (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Voluntari will play against Galati and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
