Regular Season Round 18: Wulfen - ETB Wohnbau 85-59

Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked BSV Wulfen (9-11) rolled over at home 14th ranked ETB Wohnbau (1-20) 85-59 on Saturday. BSV Wulfen dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to ETB Wohnbau's 22. BSV Wulfen forced 20 ETB Wohnbau turnovers and outrebounded them 40-25 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. BSV Wulfen looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by ETB Wohnbau's players. It was a good game for American point guard Bryant Allen (183-90, college: Dakota St.) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 6 assists. Point guard Alexander Winck (195-0) contributed with 12 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four BSV Wulfen players scored in double figures. BSV Wulfen's coach Gary Johnson felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games. American guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) replied with 25 points (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) and Michael Agyapong (200-90) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for ETB Wohnbau. BSV Wulfen moved-up to tenth place in West. ETB Wohnbau lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. BSV Wulfen will face higher ranked Ibbenbueren (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. ETB Wohnbau will play against the league's leader Koeln Rh.Stars (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
