Regular Season Round 15: KP Brno - Zabiny Brno 55-59

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Brno: Zabiny Brno (#4) and KP Brno (#3). KP Brno was defeated at home 55-59 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Petra Zaplatova (175-91) who scored 17 points. Lithuanian center Justina Matuzonyte (195-94) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Zabiny Brno's coach Viktor Prusa used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian forward Emily Potter (196-95, college: Utah) who recorded 11 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Michaela Stara (175-90) added 13 points respectively. Zabiny Brno (11-7) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain fourth place. KP Brno at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. Zabiny Brno are looking forward to face Slavia (#5) in Praha in the next round. KP Brno will play on the road against the league's leader USK Praha and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
