Regular Season Round 23: SumDU - KDPU 86-90

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sumy. First ranked KDPU faced 3rd placed SumDU. Guests from Kryvyi Rih (20-2) defeated host SumDU (15-5) 90-86. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of SumDU. SumDU was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. KDPU looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for power forward Andriy Kulish (204-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Vladislav Ungurian helped adding 17 points and 7 assists. Forward Ilya Kabatsiura (195-96) responded with 29 points and 4 assists and forward Anton Reshetilo (199-99) scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. KDPU have an impressive series of twenty victories in a row. They maintain first place with 20-2 record. Loser SumDU keeps the third position with five games lost. KDPU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SumDU will play again against the league's leader KDPU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
