Very predictable result when third ranked Rimini (15-5) won against 10th ranked Aurora JE (9-11) in Jesi 82-70 on Sunday. The former international power forward Tommaso Rinaldi (204-85, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Francesco Bedetti (195-93, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Swingman Giacomo Sgorbati (200-97, agency: Players Group) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Isacco Lovisotto (206-98) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Aurora JE. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Rimini maintains third position in B with 15-5 record behind leader Benedetto CE. Loser Aurora JE dropped to the ninth place with 11 games lost. Rimini will face Ozzano (#8) in Ozzano dell Emilia in the next round where they are favorite. Aurora JE will play on the road against Civitanova and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Serie A2 just one year after relegation.
