B1 League top team - Tochigi B. (27-8) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixth ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (3-32) in Hamamatsu 87-50. Tochigi B. dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to San-en NeoPhoenix's 22. They outrebounded San-en NeoPhoenix 42-24 including a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Tochigi B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by San-en NeoPhoenix's players. American forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Tochigi B. players scored in double figures. American forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) answered with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Shuto Terazono (165-94) added 9 points in the effort for San-en NeoPhoenix. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tochigi B. have a solid series of four victories in a row.
