Regular Season Round 9: Pacific Caesar - Louvre S. 79-84

The most interesting game of round 9 in the IBL was a home defeat of 6th ranked Pacific Caesar (3-3) to fifth ranked Louvre S. (4-2) 84-79. Louvre S. dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Pacific Caesar's 38. Louvre S. forced 20 Pacific Caesar turnovers. American forward Savon Goodman (198, college: Shaw) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Martavious Irving (186-90, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Anton Waters (201-93, college: WKU) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and American-Filipino guard Taylor Statham (198-92, college: CS San Bernar.) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Louvre S. and four Pacific Caesar players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Louvre S. moved-up to fourth place. Pacific Caesar at the other side keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Louvre S. are looking forward to face higher ranked NSH (#3) in Jakarta in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pacific Caesar will play at home against Bima Perkasa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
