Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Palermo GB (14-4) outplayed at home 12th ranked Cestestica Aquila (4-13) 87-62 on Sunday. Palermo GB forced 19 Cestestica Aquila turnovers. Naturalized Brazilian forward Bruno Duranti (197-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Tommaso Minoli (188-94) contributed with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Palermo GB players scored in double figures. Naturalized Nigerian forward Obinna Nwokoye (198-95, agency: Players Group) replied with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Matteo Santucci (194-98, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cestestica Aquila. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Palermo GB maintains fourth position in B with 14-4 record. Newly promoted Cestestica Aquila dropped to the thirteenth place with 13 games lost. Palermo GB will face Montecatiniterme (#15) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Cestestica Aquila will play against Cecina and hope to win that game.
