An interesting game for Nuggets (36-15) which hosted in Denver 4th ranked Trail Blazers (23-28). First ranked Nuggets had an easy win 127-99. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Trail Blazers. They outrebounded Trail Blazers 50-36 including a 38-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nuggets players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Trail Blazers' players. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian center Nikola Jokic (209-95, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists and Canadian swingman Jamal Murray (198-97, college: Kentucky) who added 20 points and 6 assists during the contest. Five Nuggets players scored in double figures. Point guard Damian Lillard (190-90, college: Weber St.) responded with 21 points and 9 assists and guard CJ McCollum (193-91, college: Lehigh) scored 20 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nuggets maintains first position with 36-15 record. Trail Blazers at the other side keep the fourth place with 28 games lost. Nuggets will play against league's second-placed Jazz in Salt Lake City in the next day and it will be for sure the game of the week. Trail Blazers will have a break next day.
