Regular Season Round 107: Phoenix Suns - Houston R. 127-91

There was a minor upset in Phoenix where leader Rockets (33-19) were rolled over by third ranked Suns (21-31) 127-91 on Friday. Suns dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Rockets' 36 and made 26-of-27 free shots (96.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Rockets 51-29 including a 41-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Rockets' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Suns made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was swingman Kelly Oubre (201-95, college: Kansas) who scored 39 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Devin Booker (198-96, college: Kentucky) chipped in 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Five Suns players scored in double figures. James Harden (196-89, college: ASU) produced 32 points and 5 assists and guard Austin Rivers (193-92, college: Duke) added 14 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Suns maintains third place with 21-31 record having sixteen points less than leader Toronto R. Loser Rockets still keep top position with 19 games lost. Suns will face league's leader Nuggets in Denver in the next day and it will be for sure the game of the week.
