Regular Season Round 29: BC Lulea - Umea 87-63

Very predictable result when second ranked BC Lulea (21-6) smashed at home 9th ranked Umea (5-22) 87-63. The game without a history. BC Lulea led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. BC Lulea forced 20 Umea turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Umea's players. The former international forward Denzel Andersson (203-96) nailed 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Pelle Larsson (189-1) accounted for 16 points. Four BC Lulea players scored in double figures. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nathan Dawit (192-94) came up with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Rodney Williams (201-93, college: Drexel) added 21 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Umea in the defeat. BC Lulea have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 21-6 record behind leader Boras. Umea lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 22 games lost. BC Lulea will play against Wetterbygden (#5) in Huskvarna in the next round. Umea will play on the road against Norrkoping Dolphins (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
