Regular Season Round 18: Belfast Star - Killorglin 77-69

Very expected game when 7th ranked Killorglin (9-8) was defeated on the road by second ranked Belfast Star (12-5) 77-69. Belfast Star players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for the former international guard Aidan Quinn (185-95, college: Mayville St.) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 5 rebounds. American swingman Delaney Blaylock (196, college: Lewis) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Swedish point guard Rami Ghanem (185-93, college: Keyano) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Colin OReilly (200-84, college: Post) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Killorglin. Belfast Star maintains second position with 12-5 record behind leader Tralee. Killorglin at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. Belfast Star's next round opponent will be UCD Marian (#3) in Dublin, which may be the game of the day. Killorglin will play at home against Dublin L. (#12) and hope to win that game.
