Regular Season Round 36: Tochigi B. - Kawasaki BT 72-74

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Tochigi B. (27-9) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by Toshiba Thunders (28-8) 74-72. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Tochigi B.. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The best for the losing side was American forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Yusuke Endo (185-89) scored 13 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Toshiba Thunders maintains first position with 28-8 record which they share with defeated Tochigi B. Tochigi B. at the other side still keeps top place with nine games lost. They share the position with Alvark T.. Toshiba Thunders will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
