Fourth-ranked Nets (23-28) were very close to win a game against first ranked Raptors (39-14) in Toronto on Saturday. Raptors managed to secure only one-point victory 119-118. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nets. Raptors looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for point guard Fred VanVleet (183-94, college: Wichita St.) who saved his team from a defeat with 29 points and 6 assists. Cameroonian forward Pascal Siakam (206-94, college: N.Mexico St.) contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Raptors' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Caris LeVert (201-94, college: Michigan) replied with 37 points (!!!) and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and guard Spencer Dinwiddie (198-93, college: Colorado) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists in the effort for Nets. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Raptors have an impressive 14-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 39-14 record. Nets at the other side keep the fourth place with 28 games lost.
