Very important is a road loss of Svitavy (16-8) against BK Olomoucko (13-10) on Saturday night. Visiting Svitavy was crushed by BK Olomoucko in Prostejov 92-69. BK Olomoucko had a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. International forward Lukas Palyza (202-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Radovan Kouril (185-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds and 13 assists for the winners. Five BK Olomoucko players scored in double figures. Naturalized Slovakian point guard Roman Marko (192-86) replied with 15 points and 6 assists and American guard Geno Crandall (193, college: Gonzaga) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Svitavy. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BK Olomoucko will play against USK Praha (#7) on the road in the next round. Svitavy will play against BK Opava (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
