Regular Season Round 13: Mykolaiv - Dnipro 76-87

Superleague top team - Dnipro (15-5) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat eighth ranked Mykolaiv (6-14) 87-76. Mykolaiv was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Dnipro made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Dnipro brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Mykolaiv was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) nailed 18 points and 6 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Jared Terrell (190-95, college: URI) accounted for 19 points and 4 assists. Four Dnipro players scored in double figures. Dnipro's coach Denys Zhuravlov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard QJ Peterson (183-94, college: VMI) came up with 29 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and Anton Davydiuk (205-92) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Mykolaiv in the defeat. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Dnipro. They maintain first place with 15-5 record. Mykolaiv lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 14 games lost. Dnipro will play against bottom-ranked K.Sokoly (#9) in Kharkiv in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mykolaiv will play on the road against Odessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
