Important game to mention about took place in Chiba. Fifth ranked Diamond Dolphins (15-21) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 3rd ranked Chiba J. (25-11) 61-59 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Chiba J.. The winners were led by American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) who scored that evening 12 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import center Jamel McLean (202-88, college: Xavier) supported him with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Even a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds by naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) did not help to save the game for Chiba J.. American forward Nick Mayo (206-97, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Diamond Dolphins maintains fifth position with 15-21 record. Chiba J. at the other side keeps the third place with 11 games lost. Diamond Dolphins will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Chiba J. will play again at home against Diamond Dolphins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
