No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Goetting.ASC (13-4) beat 9th ranked Vechta-2 (5-11) in Goettingen 83-67 on Saturday. Goetting.ASC forced 26 Vechta-2 turnovers. It was a very good performance for center Nikolas Schultz (206-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Nick Boakye (197-95) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Goetting.ASC's coach Sebastian Foerster used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Center Malte Giljan (205-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Ryan Quaid (203, college: W.Texas A&M) added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Vechta-2. Goetting.ASC have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in North. Loser Vechta-2 keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Goetting.ASC will have a break next round. Vechta-2 will play at home against Bergedorf (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
