Regular Season Round 21: Alessandria FB - Lucca 87-88

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Alessandria FB (4-15) was edged at home by eighth ranked Lucca (8-12) 88-87 on Saturday. Guard Gian-Marco Drocker (188-1) stepped up and scored 26 points for the winners and point guard Alessandro Banchi (185-98) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Lucca players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Alberto Serafini (196-93) with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Dario Gay (175-96) scored 11 points, 7 assists and 8 steals. Newly promoted Lucca maintains eighth place in B with 8-12 record. Alessandria FB at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Lucca will face Cestestica Aquila (#13) in Torrenovese in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Alessandria FB will play on the road against Cecina and hope to win that game.
