Regular Season Round 37: Alvark T. - Yokohama BC 95-60

Date: February 9, 2020
Everything went according to plan in Tokyo where second ranked Toyota Alvark (28-9) outleveled 5th ranked Yokohama BC (9-28) 95-60 on Sunday. Toyota Alvark looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) fired 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Serbian Milan Macvan (206-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. Turkish center Reginald Becton (206-91) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward James Southerland (203-90, college: Syracuse) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Toyota Alvark have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Kawasaki BT and Tochigi B. Yokohama BC lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 28 games lost. Toyota Alvark will face Niigata A. (#4) on the road in the next round. Yokohama BC will play against Hitachi Sunrockers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
