There was a minor upset when 6th ranked La Fecha (10-8) lost on the road to eighth ranked Baskonia (10-8) 71-62 on Sunday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Baskonia made 8 blocks. It was a very good performance for Czech guard Ondrej Hanzlik (193-2) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. Senegalese forward Pape Sow (203-3) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Baskonia's coach Miguel Angel Hoyo allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Hector Parras (198-89) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and guard Jorge Martinez (185-96) added 14 points and 4 steals in the effort for La Fecha. Baskonia moved-up to sixth place in Group A-A, which they share with Nissan Burgos and La Fecha. Baskonia will face higher ranked Arha Hoteles (#3) in Santander in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
