The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Bayern Muenchen (17-2) on the court of tenth ranked BG Goettingen on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by BG Goettingen 90-81. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Bayern Muenchen. BG Goettingen made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: WVU, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import point guard Kyan Anderson (180-92, college: TCU) who added 27 points during the contest. American center Greg Monroe (211-90, college: Georgetown) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Bosnian swingman Nihad Dedovic (198-90, agency: BeoBasket) scored 11 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BG Goettingen maintains tenth position with 9-10 record, which they share with Bayreuth. Defending champion Bayern Muenchen still keeps top place with two games lost. BG Goettingen is looking forward to face Braunschweig (#12) on the road in the next round. Bayern Muenchen will play against EWE Baskets (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
